Welcome to True Voice Counselling.

I’m Sarah (she/her). I’m a doctor of counselling and psychotherapy and a certified couples therapist. I offer online therapy for individuals and couples navigating life’s turning points—those moments when something inside says: I can’t keep going like this.

Whether you are living abroad, at a crossroads in your relationship, or simply longing to feel more like yourself again, therapy can be a place to pause, reorient, and take the next step.

As your therapist, I aim to accompany you with presence and perspective—to offer a space that feels collaborative and attuned to your unique needs. Whether you're seeking clarity, connection, or change, we'll work together in a way that helps you feel supported, seen, and empowered to move forward.

I often work with people who feel far from home, both literally and emotionally. Immigrants, wanderers, new parents in unfamiliar places. People whose lives have changed, and whose inner maps no longer match the terrain. In our work together, we travel—into the past, the present, and the imagined future to understand your path more clearly. To walk it with greater self-trust and aliveness.

Therapy, like any journey, isn’t about rushing to a destination. It’s about the way we move. I offer a steady, compassionate presence and an attuned, collaborative approach. We’ll follow your pace, your questions, your longings. You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin.

We might encounter emotional weather, unexpected landscapes, or long-held patterns that no longer fit. There may be grief, anxiety, or an ache beneath the surface. But you won’t be walking alone.

I believe healing happens in relationship—in the safety of being truly seen and heard. That’s why our work will be shaped not just by my training, but by the trust we build and the honesty we bring. I’ll listen closely, offer perspective when it’s needed, and help you notice what wants to change.

Together, we’ll trace your story and reflect on the beliefs and roles that have shaped your path. As insight grows, new choices often emerge—ones that feel more rooted, more expansive, more you.

My therapy style is collaborative, exploratory, and personalised. In our work together, you won’t just be a client—you’ll be a valued partner. Your insights, instincts, and experiences will help shape each session, making our time together feel relevant, meaningful, and alive to what matters most.

I believe the heart of therapy lies in relationship. It’s the trust between us—the sense of safety and mutual respect—that allows real healing to unfold. That’s why I focus on creating a space of genuine connection, where you feel met as your full self.

From this foundation, we’ll explore the issues you’d like help with and build in practical strategies to help you move through life with greater clarity, self-trust, and emotional resilience.

Ways We Can Work Together

Counselling for People Living Abroad

Living across cultures can stir profound questions about identity, belonging, and home. We’ll explore the losses, longings, and unexpected awakenings that come with starting over—so you can feel more rooted and resilient, wherever you are.

Individual Therapy

This is your space to explore what matters most—at your pace and with your history in mind. I’ll walk beside you as a thoughtful companion, helping you find clarity, cultivate self-compassion, and step into new ways of being.

Relationship Therapy

Whether you’re navigating disconnection, conflict, or transitions in your partnership, we’ll work together to build more honest communication, deeper emotional safety, and shared direction. You don’t have to stay stuck in old cycles.
