Welcome to True Voice Counselling.
Hi, I’m Sarah (she/her). I’m a doctor of counselling and psychotherapy and a certified couples therapist. I offer online therapy for individuals and couples, with a focus on curiosity, compassion, and helping you find your voice.
I have a special interest in supporting people living abroad—those navigating the complex experience of building a life in a new place while holding onto who they are.
I believe every story matters. And I believe yours deserves to be met with care, respect, and real attention.
As your therapist, I aim to bring both presence and perspective—to offer a space that feels steady, collaborative, and attuned to your unique needs. Whether you're seeking clarity, connection, or change, we'll move at your pace, working together in a way that helps you feel supported, seen, and empowered to move forward.

Life can throw a lot at us—big challenges, changes, and surprises—and it makes sense to need some support along the way. Everyone’s struggles are different, and sometimes they can feel really overwhelming or hard to go through alone.
Having a space where you can take time to explore and make sense of what you’re experiencing can make a big difference. I’m here to warmly welcome all the emotions and experiences you bring with you.
Together, we’ll look at what’s happened in your life and the stories you tell yourself about those events. This can help uncover patterns that keep showing up—things that shape how you see the world and relate to others. As we explore, we might find a new path that feels lighter, more meaningful, and more in tune with who you truly are.
My aim is to help you find clarity in the chaos, trust your own process, and build new insights, coping skills, and self-understanding so you feel more confident and resilient navigating whatever arises.
My therapy style is collaborative, exploratory, and personalised. In our work together, you won’t just be a client—you’ll be a valued partner. Your insights, instincts, and experiences will help shape each session, making our time together feel relevant, meaningful, and alive to what matters most.
I believe the heart of therapy lies in relationship. It’s the trust between us—the sense of safety and mutual respect—that allows real healing to unfold. That’s why I focus on creating a space of genuine connection, where you feel seen, heard, and met as your full self.
Our work might include grounding practices, body-based awareness, or exploring archetypal and symbolic themes. We may bring in poetry, music, or cultural reflection—tools that help deepen insight and reconnect you with your inner voice. Sometimes I’ll offer psychoeducation to help clarify patterns; sometimes we’ll sit in the silence that speaks for itself.
Whatever the method, our relationship becomes the foundation for growth. When you feel truly understood, you’re more able to develop compassion for yourself and create more authentic, connected relationships with others.
From this foundation, we’ll also build practical strategies to help you move through life with greater clarity, self-trust, and emotional resilience.
