It Doesn’t Have to Feel Like This
Moving to a new country can be both exciting and challenging. Many people find themselves missing the familiar comforts of home, feeling overwhelmed by cultural differences, language barriers, and the many adjustments they face daily. If you’re feeling these things, know you’re not alone.
When I moved countries, I initially felt a lot of excitement. It’s easy to romanticise life abroad, imagining it as a kind of permanent holiday. But after the honeymoon phase ended, I was suddenly grappling with many challenges, and didn’t know whether what I was feeling was a sign to return home.
Through trial and error, study, training, and working with others who’ve gone through similar transitions, I stayed. I felt a strong calling to dedicate more time and focus to this experience in my work. What I offer to fellow internationals is a labour of love—an honouring of my own journey and the journeys of others.
Supporting immigrants, expatriates, international students, digital nomads, and intercultural couples, my goal is to help you find connection and confidence as you build your life in a new country. Together, you can shift from feeling different and out of place to feeling empowered and at home within yourself.
